Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to lead the design, development, and scaling of cutting-edge backend services that leverage Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to create AI-driven solutions for our product. In this leadership role, you will work closely with engineering, product, and AI teams to architect data systems, design AI agents, and optimize retrieval mechanisms, all while ensuring the highest levels of performance and scalability. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Design and scale backend services that integrate Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for production environments, ensuring reliability and efficiency. Develop AI agents to automate complex workflows, improving overall product intelligence and enhancing user interaction. Build data pipelines that transform both structured and unstructured data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across teams. Optimize retrieval systems to enhance speed, scalability, and user relevance, ensuring a seamless experience for end users. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to deliver AI-powered features that directly improve the customer experience and meet business objectives. Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and best practices in AI and machine learning development. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role, including leading teams and driving technical direction. Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience with Generative AI, RAG, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain). Familiarity with graph databases, NLP pipelines, and vector search. Proven ability to design scalable systems and optimize for performance. Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Open-source contributions, published research, or advanced AI applications. Knowledge of ethical and responsible AI development practices. Experience scaling AI systems in production environments.
