The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through rigorous testing methodologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop test strategies, execute test cases, and troubleshoot issues, contributing significantly to the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Duties Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for various software applications. Conduct functional testing, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance testing to ensure software quality. Collaborate with developers and product managers to gather requirements and understand business needs. Perform root cause analysis on defects and work closely with the development team to resolve issues. Implement continuous integration practices using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab. Utilise test automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit for efficient testing processes. Manage release cycles and coordinate with teams for smooth deployment of software updates. Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and results using tools like Jira or HP ALM. Engage in debugging processes to identify software faults and provide technical support as needed. Participate in data analysis activities to ensure that the software meets performance benchmarks. Qualifications Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, LoadRunner) and frameworks (e.g., Cucumber). Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub or SVN. Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server; experience with JDBC is a plus. Understanding of web services (REST/SOAP) and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Strong analytical skills with a focus on quality assurance and troubleshooting techniques. Experience in Agile methodologies as well as Waterfall development processes. Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure is advantageous.
