You will join our core team, which builds and improves Swan’s core ledgering systems as well as its other core APIs for its web and mobile products. Here’s what you might be involved in day to day:Architecting and designing data models and systems related to financial ledgeringIntegrating open source and commercial ledgering, reconciliation, accounting, and reporting systemsDiagramming and documenting complex financial systems and flowsReducing complexity through refactoring, modularization, and simplificationSkills and experience that will help you succeedSenior level experience with SQL, data modeling, REST APIs, event driven systems, etcExperience at a bank, trust company, fintech, or other financial institutionAt least 5 years of total software development experience, with at least 2 years at a financial institution or fintechCommitment to great architecture, clean code, unit testing, and excellence in documentationWell developed opinions on software architecture and principles of development in high scale systemsExperience with NodeJS is preferred, but senior level experience in any similar environment worksAWS experience is a big plusStrong desire to self-organize work and demonstrated history of high bandwidth communication in a fully remote companyAdept with modern AI tooling and ready to deliver quicklyUS timezones onlyCompensation for this role will be based on location and experience, and may include base salary, equity, and benefitsRemote pay range (based on location and experience)$100,000—$200,000 USDHere's a bit about our cultureWe’re a growing team: Fully distributed across the world, Slack and Huddles are huge here.We’re very flat: Leadership is desired and encouraged; we hire people who care about and use the product they are working on.We’re Bitcoiners: We find solutions that encourage Bitcoin principles.
