Job Description: Backend Developer – NGynS, Remote

The Center for Innovative GYN Care (CIGC), Visionary ASC, and NGynS are part of a healthcare ecosystem transforming women’s healthcare. With over 20 years of expertise in advanced minimally invasive surgery, our mission is to expand access to world-class GYN specialists and improve outcomes for women nationwide. NGynS will launch in 2026 as a patient-facing platform connecting women with fellowship-trained GYN surgeons through trusted educational resources and a modern digital experience.
The Role
We are seeking a Backend Developer to architect and implement the infrastructure powering the NGynS platform. This role will focus on building the physician directory, routing logic, and data pipelines that connect patients to the right specialist, while integrating seamlessly with marketing tools and the Patient Advocacy Center (PAC).
This is a foundational hire — the developer will shape how the backend scales as the platform grows nationally, and will also help prepare for a future phase of AI-driven patient matching and personalization.
Key Responsibilities
 Data Management: Design and maintain databases of physicians, conditions, and outcomes with high standards for accuracy and refresh frequency.
 Routing Logic: Build and refine algorithms that match patients to the appropriate physician based on specialty, insurance, geography, and availability.
 Integrations: Connect backend systems to CRM, marketing automation, chatbots, and PAC scheduling systems.
 APIs: Develop and maintain secure APIs for patient-facing front end and partner integrations.
 Performance & Security: Ensure system scalability, data privacy, HIPAA compliance, and secure handling of patient information.
 AI/ML Readiness: Architect backend infrastructure to support future AI features (e.g., intelligent routing, personalized recommendations, patient engagement models).
 Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, PAC, and leadership teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Qualifications

 5+ years of backend development experience (Python, Node.js, or similar).
 Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and API design.
 Experience with healthcare data standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) strongly preferred.
 Previous experience building search/filtering systems or marketplaces (e.g., provider directories, e-commerce, or healthcare platforms).
 Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
 Bonus/Preferred: Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar) and designing backend systems to train/deploy machine learning models.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with cross-functional stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

 Salary Range: $115,000 – $175,000 base (DOE, AI experience at upper end).
 Potential for performance-based bonuses.
