We are a fully distributed, remote-first team with employees across the US.About The RoleWisdom is hiring Staff Software Engineers to join our tech team and play an instrumental role in the early stages of our product. In this role, you’ll build and iterate on our AI enabled products, partnering closely with a small team of engineers and writing code across both the front- and backend. Wisdom’s tech stack is Node and React in Typescript, with a Postgres database, and hosted in AWS.This is a high-impact, fully remote role reporting to our Head of Engineering and can be based anywhere in the US.What You’ll DoBuild software from the ground up in a fast-paced environment, and iterate on existing products as they launchWork across the stack, from designing database schemas to deploying HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure to spinning up Node.js backend services and React frontendsDesign and implement resilient integrations with dental insurance carriers and practice management systemsCollaborate directly with our dental billers and clients to understand their challenges and come up with creative solutions to improve their workflowsTake on ambiguous problems and shape the culture and best practices of our engineering teamWe’d Love To Hear From You If You HaveAt least 5 years of software engineering development experienceProficiency in a web stack language (Typescript/Javascript, Python, C#) with an openness to working in TypescriptExperience designing and scaling databases such as PostgresExperience building infrastructure in a cloud provider like AWS or GCPA strong product mindset and high user empathyA high level of autonomy, ownership, and curiosityA low ego and willingness to admit mistakes and learn from themWisdom is an equal opportunity employer.
