We're looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our team and help us build products that truly stand out in the market. As an engineer at Wiland, you'll be instrumental in designing and developing cutting-edge systems that manage and analyze massive datasets using the latest emerging technologies.

If you have a strong analytical mind, experience with distributed computing platforms, and a knack for both independent and collaborative problem-solving, we want to talk to you. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience with technologies like HDFS, Hadoop, Spark, and Scala and be ready to hit the ground running.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Participates in cross-functional teams to deliver software and systems that meet business requirements
Engages with Product and business representatives to understand and clarify requirements and translate requirements into technical solutions
Collaborates with other teams including architecture to document design, interfaces and overall implementation plans
Develops high-quality software and shepherds it through the entire software lifecycle including unit testing, supporting quality assurance processes and release deployment
Communicates frequently with all stakeholders sharing status, roadblocks, contingencies and changes from original plans
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of software development experience in the following key technologies:
Apache Spark
HDFS
Linux
Scala
PySpark
Python
Javascript
NodeJS
Experience in the following a plus:
RDBMS/MySQL/MariaDB
C/C++ - experience a plus
Familiarity with Agile methodology
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Team oriented approach with a positive attitude
ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Location: Remote
Department: Information Technology
Compensation Range: $75,000 - $109,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component.
