You’ll help design intelligent agentic workflows, build novel document extraction pipelines, and support customers in deploying production-grade AI systems.What You’ll DoData science and solutions engineering to build and design agentic workflowsSolve novel, complex data science problems in document classification and structured data extractionWrite code to extract structured information from unstructured patient recordsLeverage deep technical expertise to support customers and troubleshoot complex issuesDevelop and expand a robust customer knowledge base to answer common questions, significantly reducing onboarding time for new customers.Work with the product team to prioritize the roadmap based on customer feedbackCommunicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise wayEnsure privacy and Compliance standards (HIPAA, PHI/PII) are upheld throughout the ML lifecycleAbout YouBackground in data science, agentic frameworks, machine learning, and engineeringStrong programming skills in PythonDeep experience extracting structured data from unstructured PDFs using frameworks like: DSPy, Pydantic, Trustcall, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and DoclingDeep understanding of LLM modelsWork closely with subject matter experts to create and refine evaluations setsExperience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExcellent communication, collaboration, and customer relationship management skillsStrong grasp of the full MLOps lifecycle, including data engineering, training/evaluation, serving, and monitoringProficiency in creating Docker containersNice to haves: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and ideally KubernetesExperience in Insurance and Healthcare IndustryFamiliarity with Bedrock and Anthropic modelsExperience working as part of a startup or lean teamLocation:  The role is remote-friendlyExpectations are that you will work and be available in EST timezone Compensation: $12,000–$22,500 per month for the 3-month engagement, commensurate with experience and qualificationsWe’re happy to discuss range expectations early in the processCake is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and job seekers regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected category.
