📋 Description
• Join the Datastore team and own foundational data model and centralized repository/API for brain data
• Design and scale backend systems for data infrastructure: event-driven pipelines, data modeling, and APIs
• Lead design and integration of services and components for data and event processing
• Contribute to scaling the Datastore’s core infrastructure and implement APIs enabling scientific and clinical workflows
• Draft RFCs to guide complex feature discovery and technical design
• Improve operational robustness and usability via documentation, tools, and dashboards
• Work remotely with optional in-person office hubs in Boston, New York, and Paris

🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years of backend development experience, including at least 2 years focused on data engineering, data platforms, or infrastructure for data-centric applications
• Strong proficiency in SQL with production experience working with PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with data streaming and event processing (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pulsar, or Amazon Kinesis)
• Proficiency in a data-oriented programming language such as Julia, Python, or R (Experience with Julia is a strong plus)
• Experience deploying and operating services in containerized environments; familiarity with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Helm
• Experience in TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js) is a plus
• Collaborative mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed approach and track record of thriving in hybrid or fully remote teams
