📋 Description
• As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a key part of our engineering organization, driving the design, implementation, and scalability of Cake’s core product experience.
• You’ll work across the stack—from the front-end Next.js application to the backend Go services running on Kubernetes—ensuring our products delight customers and meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.
• Deliver High-Quality Features
• Quickly ramp up on Cake’s architecture (e.g., Next.js, Go Kubernetes Operator, Crossplane, and Terraform).
• Contribute code with high autonomy and identify technical debt or bottlenecks affecting velocity.
• Suggest immediate process/tool improvements to optimize team speed.
• Own Critical Initiatives
• Lead at least one major product feature or architectural refactoring from concept to production release by your second month.
• Drive improved code quality, security, and performance through thoughtful reviews and mentorship.
• Mentor & Share Knowledge
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions or pair-programming to elevate team skill sets.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to help other engineers grow and adopt best practices.
• Engage with Customer Needs
• Work directly with customers, answering questions and troubleshooting issues.
• Use this insight to inform product priorities and improve overall solution impact.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to respond to critical customer issues.

🎯 Requirements
• 5+ Years of Software Engineering
• Significant experience in full-stack development with React or Next.js, plus backend expertise (Go preferred).
• Experience designing and implementing robust user-facing APIs.
• Familiar with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Solid understanding of container orchestration (Kubernetes strongly preferred).
• Proven track record of building secure, scalable platforms.
• Ability to diagnose and debug complex production systems.
• Embrace test-first, DevSecOps approaches and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• History of working directly with customers, translating feedback into technical requirements.
• Excited by product ownership, iterative development, and fast-paced decision-making.
• Skilled at articulating complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and through documentation.
• Able to drive consensus and collaborate effectively across teams.
