In the US, we offer health, vision & dental benefits, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching.What you’ll doDevelop our engineering roadmap and guide major product decisions and executionWork with some of the most ubiquitous technology companies today to build innovative products at incredible scaleWork closely with client engineering teams to prioritize improvements and new features to keep our existing product offerings sharp and relevantSet Cinder apart as a hub of excellent engineering practices and build a solid foundation for our software Mentor junior engineers and build out a growing team while reporting to Cinder’s head of engineeringLead product strategy and engineering directionWork closely with product designers and safety experts to craft a consumer-grade experience for our customersCore technologies: Our engineering team has deep experience across languages. We don’t require a specific programming background, but expect you to be motivated to write clean and efficient code. Today, the tech stack at Cinder leans a lot on Python, Django, GraphQL, React, and Typescript. Those are important frameworks to understand and we've found engineers who are familiar with at least parts of that stack are successful. We’re always interested in new, faster, more efficient ways of working, however.About you5+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentSuccessful track record of building platform-level software from the ground upExperience using modern open source frameworks and cloud technologiesComfort with ambiguity and an ability to take initiative Interest in solving some of the world’s most pressing problemsExcellent written and spoken English communication skills.
