Our products are utilized by enterprises and individuals across media, entertainment, sports, publishing, music, retail, finance, and beyond.The essential duties and responsibilities for this role will require you to do the following:Contribute to existing and create new productsWork on Backend with other engineersDevelop and propose software architecture for new products based on Product Team requirementsRefactor large code base time to timePerformance optimizations and cost reducing practicesEducation and work experience requirements are:Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer ScienceMinimum 8+ years of full-time hands-on experienceStrong experience in development and optimizations of databases (PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift)and complex software architecturesStrong experience developing Ruby on Rails applications and RESTful APIsTo be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here:A proven track record of launching and maintaining large-scale web applicationsA good foundational knowledge of OOP languages, operating systems, data structures, algorithms, and complexity trade-offsStrong knowledge working with payment processors (Stripe, Braintree, etc), subscriptions, user management, Redis, Sidekiq, Cron jobs, etc.Solid knowledge of SOLID, TDD principlesA background in refactoring large-scale systemsKnowledge of Elastic Beanstalk and other AWS servicesStrong communications skills both written and verbalExtra Points for:React.js development experienceThis position has potential to be promoted to Director or VP of Engineering for the right candidate.The physical demands described here represent those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
