<p>At FusionHit, we’re partnering with a fast-growing, founder-led startup building the first CRM purpose-built for third-party utility providers (internet, satellite, home security, solar, and more). These teams operate in the field—often door-to-door—and need dedicated tools to manage leads, operations, and customers. With billions flowing into broadband and fiber infrastructure, the market is expanding rapidly, and our client’s platform is seeing strong traction and a steady stream of feature requests.</p><p>We’re looking for a Senior LAMP Developer who will work directly with the CEO/Founder to expand the platform’s capabilities. You’ll thrive here if you love shipping fast in a scrappy environment, owning end-to-end projects, and balancing pragmatism with sound architecture. Expect hands-on work across PHP/MySQL, Linux/Apache, jQuery, AWS, and CMS platforms (with a strong preference for Joomla).</p><p>This project focuses on scaling a CRM tailored to the unique workflows of third-party utility providers—building APIs, integrations, plugins, and high-impact features that teams use in the field every day.</p><p></p><p>Location: Must reside and have work authorization in Latin America.<br>Availability: Must be available to work with significant overlap with Mountain Standard Time (MST).</p><p></p><p><strong>The Ideal Candidate Has:</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li> 7+ years of professional software development experience. </li> <li> 5+ years working across the <strong>LAMP stack</strong> (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). </li> <li> Strong proficiency with <strong>jQuery</strong> and modern JavaScript fundamentals. </li> <li> Hands-on experience with CMS platforms; <strong>Joomla</strong> is a major plus (plugins, components, templates). </li> <li> Ability to design and build RESTful APIs and endpoints from scratch (auth, rate limiting, pagination, versioning). </li> <li> Familiarity with <strong>AWS</strong> (infrastructure, hosting, storage) and basic cloud security best practices. </li> <li> Experience collaborating with Customer Support/QA to triage, reproduce, and resolve production bugs. </li> <li> Comfort operating independently in a fast-moving, founder-led environment—organized, punctual, and ownership-driven. </li> <li> Bonus: Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (e.g., <strong>BigQuery</strong>) and integrations (e.g., Outlook add-ins). </li> <li> Strong product sense—knows when an MVP is “good enough” to ship and when to harden. </li> <li> <strong>Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred, strong B2 may be considered).</strong> </li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li> Design, implement, and maintain backend features using PHP/MySQL on Linux/Apache—ship high-quality code quickly. </li> <li> Build and document <strong>REST APIs</strong> and webhooks for third-party integrations (auth, rate limits, error handling). </li> <li> Develop and maintain <strong>Joomla</strong> extensions (components, plugins, modules) and front-end behaviors with jQuery. </li> <li> Own performance tuning, query optimization, and data modeling to keep the CRM fast and scalable. </li> <li> Deploy and operate features on <strong>AWS</strong> (hosting, storage, configs), ensuring reliability and security baselines. </li> <li> Partner directly with the Founder to prioritize the roadmap, make pragmatic architecture trade-offs, and challenge ideas thoughtfully. </li> <li> Triages issues with Support/QA; perform root-cause analysis, write reproducible steps, and deliver fixes with tests. </li> <li> Create concise technical docs and lightweight runbooks for deployments, rollbacks, and operational tasks. </li> <li> Contribute to an engineering culture of ownership, speed, and high signal—not just activity. </li> </ul>
