Job Description
This is a remote position.

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Latin America. This is a hands-on senior role with opportunities for technical leadership and mentorship.

You will work on an internal platform, designing and building backend services and integrations that support scalable, multi-tenant systems. While this role is primarily an individual contributor at the start, candidates must have prior experience mentoring or leading other developers and be comfortable stepping into a team lead role as the team grows.



Requirements
Requirements:

8+ years of backend engineering experience

Strong proficiency in Java (17 or higher)

Production experience with Spring Boot and/or Quarkus

Experience building backend and integration-oriented services

Solid understanding of scalable backend architectures

Comfortable working in AWS-based environments

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Quarkus in production

Exposure to Apache Camel or other integration frameworks

Experience building or supporting multi-tenant platforms

Background in scaling systems under growth or increased load

Prior experience as a team lead or mentor
