Runwise has offices in New York and Boston but is a remote-first product/engineering company, and has been since its creation. We’re seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the development of high-impact features that improve user experience and drive customer satisfaction. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, implement, and iterate on frontend systems that interact with real-time data and control systems. Your efforts will directly increase our customers’ climate control savings, improve tenant comfort, and decrease our collective carbon footprint. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Being a core contributor to our React-based web applications, delivering responsive, reliable, and accessible interfacesCollaborating closely with design, product, and backend teams to build new features that empower our users to monitor and control energy systemsBuilding reusable UI components and libraries with performance and scalability in mindHelping define and improve frontend architecture and development standardsMonitoring performance and addressing UI-related issues, including usability, speed, and responsivenessEnsuring a consistent experience across browsers and devicesWho you are:You have 5+ years of frontend development experience, including 3+ years with React.
