Without diversity of experience and thought, we would fail to progress as a company and as a team. Apiphani strives to foster an environment of belonging, where every employee feels respected, valued, and empowered.  We embrace the unique experiences, perspective, and cultural background, which only you can bring to the table.  Job DescriptionSenior SAP Basis Engineers are responsible for providing technical support to client SAP basis systems.  They are responsible for the technical aspects of enhancing, updating and deploying critical changes, designing new solutions, and creating procedures in the SAP area.   They will report to the Principal Director of Application Support.Job DutiesPerform project-based and production support responsibilities as needed to support apiphani managed client environments inclusive of SAP system migrations, SAP landscape refreshes, data protection including database backup & recovery, HA configurations and ongoing SAP system maintenance activities, e.g., SAP performance management, patching, problem management, etc.Work within and outside the SAP department to determine best practices for future landscapes;Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for problem resolution actions, root cause, procedures, etc.Drive continual improvement in systems operations through collaboration with both delivery and development teams.Actively engage in root cause analysis, in collaboration with software development and other delivery teams.Execute against defined project goals.Required SkillsBachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience7+ years of experience as an SAP Basis engineer in a service provider or advanced IT organization operating in a 24/7 environmentSolid background administering the SAP HANA databaseUnderstanding of SAP security principalsExperience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible preferredExperience with configuration management and automation toolsFamiliarity with agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.)AWS and Azure service usage on commercial or government cloudDevelopment experience with a high-level language such as python or java a plusExperience with Sybase ASE a plusStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong ownership biasDeadline and detail-orientedBase Salary$120,000—$135,000 USDCompany BenefitsMedical/dental/vision - 100% paid for employees, 50% paid for dependentsLife and disability - 100% paid for employees401K - 3% match, no employee contribution necessary Education and tuition reimbursement - up to $50K annuallyEmployee Stock Options Plan Accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity benefits offered through our providersEmployee Assistance Program Legal assistanceUnlimited PTO
