Job Description: Role: Mainframe System Automation / NetView AdministrationContract: 12+ Months100% RemoteWe need NetView Administration expGC and USCPart of a large project (3 different plexes and using GDPS environment)This is not a Programmer role. Need Administration experience with SA (IBM System automation of z/OS), NetView and NetOpsPrimary ResponsibilityAdministering NetView, IBM System Automation and NetOps in a GDPS Environment.As part of Mainframe Automation team, this position will be part of a team focused on accelerating the design and performance of our development of automation, integration into platforms (Envision X, AIR, Sidekick), and architectural design of multiple platforms: Automation Point, OPS/MVS, zOSMF, Zowe, Ansible and Ansible Readiness.Technical Qualifications:· Experience Administering NetView, IBM System Automation and NetOps in a GDPS Environment.· Software development and Programming - Writing and documenting code.· Programming languages: Python, C++, REXX, Assembler.· Ansible Framework and Playbooks.· Code hosting platforms for version control and source code management such as Github.· Software Development Issue tracking and Agile project management Tools such as Jira or Bugzilla (Scrum and Kanban Boards).· Mainframe Operating systems and their sub-components - z/OS, MVS.· Software packaging and distribution.· IT Service Management (ITSM) - Approach to delivering IT services.· IT operations management (ITOM) - Software that handles the tools, environment, and processes for operating such services.· ITIL Framework - Describes the life cycle of service in detail.· DevOps and Agile methodology principles and practices.
