To reach the next level of adoption, dedicated and purpose-built infrastructure is required.The RoleWe are looking for a Fullstack Product Engineer to join our product team and build the infrastructure and applications that power stablecoin payments. This role is primarily backend-focused, with work across APIs, services, and relevant integrations, with occasional support for frontend or mobile development. You will ship user-facing products, and contribute across the stack to deliver high-impact features quickly and reliably.What You Will DoDesign and implement high-performance REST and GraphQL APIs for stablecoin payments and financial operationsIntegrate backend services with Plasma’s blockchain infrastructure using libraries like Web3.js and Ethers.jsBuild services to process blockchain events and maintain application state consistencyDefine and optimize database schemas for transactional throughput and financial data integrityImplement caching and indexing strategies for wallet balances and transaction historyDevelop WebSocket services to deliver real-time transaction updates to users and systemsCreate robust error handling and retry logic for blockchain and DeFi protocol interactionsSet up performance monitoring, tracing, and alerting across backend servicesCollaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts and support internal tooling developmentBuild admin dashboards and internal tools for operations, customer support, and debuggingWrite clear API documentation and maintain backend support for frontend feature developmentWho You Are3+ years experience as a full stack engineer with a strong focus on backend developmentProficient in TypeScript and JavaScript, with deep expertise in Node.js and API design (REST and GraphQL)Hands-on experience integrating blockchain infrastructure using Web3.js or Ethers.jsStrong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous messaging (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka)Have a deep understanding of crypto UX patterns and interactionsSkilled in relational databases like PostgreSQL and caching with RedisComfortable working across the stack, with experience in React or similar frontend frameworksHigh attention to detail, with strong debugging and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environmentsA bias for action and ownership, capable of driving complex features from design through deploymentFamiliarity with core blockchain concepts including gas optimization, transaction lifecycle, wallet interactions, etcNice to HaveExperience with stablecoin protocols (USDC, USDT, DAI)Previous fintech or payments experienceExperience with regulatory compliance in financial servicesOur StackBackend: Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, RedisBlockchain: Ethers.js, Web3.js, HardhatFrontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, TanStack QueryInfrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, TerraformMonitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, SentryDevelopment: GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, automated testingSalary and BenefitsBenefits for full-time employees include an above-market salary, a generous ownership package, comprehensive insurance coverage, and generous paid time off.
