In this role reporting to the Manager, Data Engineering, you’ll be responsible for influencing architectural decisions and writing highly scalable Java-based pipelines and services to process automotive data and power a modern car-buying experience, making it easier for consumers to search, discover, and buy a car online.  Your ideas will directly impact the product experience and business outcomes.  Are you passionate about performing meaningful work?  If so, apply today!How you’ll drive TrueCar’s success:Design and implement scalable big data pipelines using Apache Airflow with focus on reliability, monitoring and performance optimizationDevelop high-quality product features using skills in Java, Python, Spring Boot, GraphQL, Maven, and other open-source Java libraries spanning multiple product domains and integration with REST API'sDevelop and support solutions using DynamoDB for fast, scalable storage and Redis for real-time caching to improve application performance and reliabilityDevelop data models and architecture solutions that align with business requirementsEstablish and maintain data quality frameworks and governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across data assetsDesign, build, and maintain scalable APIs and services to enable reliable data access and integration across internal systems and platformsYou will work closely with product owners & analysts to understand business and functional requirements and contribute to the design and prioritization discussionsLearn how automotive marketplaces operate and contribute to providing great experiences for our customersActively participate in team planning, estimation, and collaborative software design discussionsIdentify and implement process improvements that enhance team efficiencyBe an integral member of our engineering team, fostering a culture of mentorship and continuous learningYour Expertise:  Proven experience programming in Java and Python.Strong background in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming.Advanced SQL and data modeling experienceApache Spark development proficiencyExpertise in orchestrating data pipelines with Apache AirflowDemonstrated experience improving pipeline reliability and performanceExperience with data documentation and governanceAWS Cloud Services (EMR, S3,Athena etc.), preferredNoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB), preferredStreaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis), preferredGraphQL and REST APIs, preferredIn-memory data stores (Redis), preferredBase salary range: $128,000 - $185,000Your TrueCar ExperienceAt TrueCar, we champion remote work because we know great work can happen anywhere.
