When our people thrive, our clients do too — and together, we build a web that works better for everyone. • As Kanopi continues to grow, we’re excited to welcome a new Contract Senior Full Stack WordPress Engineer to our team. • About the Role: As a Contract WordPress Developer, your day-to-day includes hands-on development and collaboration on sites while staying accountable to schedules, estimates, project requirements, and high standards of quality. • Your typical work week might include: Building and configuring WordPress sites; Developing native Gutenberg blocks using React; Creating templates and patterns meant for full-site editing; Developing custom plugins and themes; Writing code and process documentation; Participating in code peer reviews; Most importantly, having fun working with an incredible team! • About the compensation and work requirements: This is a contract position. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience. This is a 100% remote role, but you must live and be able to work in either the US or Canada. • Ready to apply? 🎯 Requirements • 4+ years of professional WordPress experience. • Proficient with Advanced Custom Fields (fields, taxonomies, CPT, REST API). • Experienced in building custom Gutenberg blocks using React and ACF. • Strong understanding of templates and patterns for full-site editing. • Skilled in JavaScript, including React (Next.js experience is a plus). • Well-versed in modern development workflows (Composer, CLI, GitHub, Docker, multi-environment setup and deployment). • Deep understanding of modern web standards and technologies. • Holds a BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.4+ years of professional WordPress experience. • Comfortable working in support roles and open to doing so. • Proven experience in an agency environment, preferably remote, with the ability to manage multiple time zones. • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, intelligence, and initiative. • Regularly communicate with your team regarding questions, task estimates, progress, and potential issues. • Exhibits thoughtful, inclusive, and articulate communication skills, both written and verbal. 🏖️ Benefits • Enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote, contract position, giving you the freedom to work from anywhere in the US or Canada. • No agencies, recruiters or overseas applicants (for consideration, applicants must live in the US or Canada).
