The individual shall be responsible for overall functional and technical architecture for all ConceptOne applications within Jencap, they are assigned to and will be expected to set high to mid-level technical direction, provide technical solutions working with technology and business partners.This is a high impact role: Candidates should have a mix of end-user and consulting experience, ideally in Insurance.  The candidate should possess very good Java, cloud & design skills and ability to communicate with highly skilled application teams. The role requires significant multi-tasking, a broad business perspective and conceptual thinking to solve ambiguous problems.  Candidates also need to apply substantial depth of knowledge/experience to drive through change.This role can work in our NJ office or remotely.Responsibilities:Functional Understanding – understanding of all or a significant proportion of the following subject areas:Insurance related experience including working on Policy, Placement systems advantageous.Demonstrate an understanding of enterprise reference data – like customer, account, security etcDemonstrable experience in Straight-Through Processing (STP) – ideally in the Insurance sector.Large Systems Implementation – project implementation experience, acting as an architect or technical lead on insurance or financial systemsGeneral Information Architecture is a plusBusiness Analysis - synthesizing core information needs from business processes and requirementsData Modeling – experience with logical data modeling and detailed modeling of inter-application data flows to element levelReference Data – experience with the use of centralized reference data sourcesSkills:Provide Architecture and Technical Specialist guidance and expertise to C1 projectsFacilitate complex implementation efforts by defining, directing and managing customer requirements processLead C1 and external/internal systems integration architecture and designDevelop, analyze, document and review business, functional and non-functional requirementsDevelop high-level and low-level architectural documentation, including diagrams, design patterns, and technical specifications.Plan, perform, and support testing efforts and including the coordination of User Acceptance Testing and trainingEffectively engage with Insurity and Customer executivesWork with PMs to breakdown the design into widgets – to estimate complexity, effort and durationParticipate in system design and configuration activitiesMentor team membersRequirementsBA/BS Degree in related field5+ years of insurance experienceAbility to write complex SQL QueriesExperience with Visio, Click-upExperience with Database Design and Object-Oriented ConceptsStrong knowledge of XML/XSLT/JSON5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical and deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects).Want the opportunity to build something new?
