Role Description We are looking for a Web Developer / Frontend Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the development of accessible, scalable web solutions. In this role, you will work on user-facing web applications, embeddable web components, and platform features that support accessibility, content translation, and inclusive user experiences. You will collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to build high-quality web interfaces that can be deployed across multiple environments and client websites. This is a remote role with opportunities for long-term collaboration or full-time employment based on performance. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop and maintain modern web applications using JavaScript and React. Build reusable, scalable frontend components that can be integrated into different websites and platforms. Implement responsive UI elements with a strong focus on usability and accessibility. Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and data services. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent behavior across devices. Apply accessibility best practices, including keyboard navigation, focus management, and inclusive UI patterns. Optimize frontend performance through efficient rendering, lazy loading, and asset optimization. Participate in testing, debugging, and iterative improvement of web features. Contribute to frontend architecture decisions with future scalability in mind. Qualifications Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development practices. Familiarity with frameworks such as Next.js or similar React-based frameworks. Understanding of browser behavior, DOM manipulation, and client-side performance. Experience working with APIs and asynchronous data flows. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team. Nice to Have: Experience with UI frameworks such as Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, or similar tools. Familiarity with cloud-based deployments or CDN-backed web applications. Interest or experience in accessibility, inclusive design, or assistive technologies.
