Troubleshoot advanced hardware, software, operating system, network, and application issues. Independently analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions. Assist with the resolution of high-impact incidents, partnering with senior engineers as needed. Document root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce recurring issues. Support servers, network components, endpoints, and peripherals to ensure stability and performance. Perform server reboots, network troubleshooting, patching assistance, and basic infrastructure maintenance. Assist with monitoring system performance and identifying capacity or reliability concerns. Perform new hire onboarding, system setup, and access provisioning (Active Directory, permissions, group policies). Deploy, configure, and support Windows-based devices and Microsoft 365 applications. Support printers, scanners, mobile devices, MiFi, and related peripherals. Maintain accurate documentation for procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Contribute to internal knowledge bases and assist in training Tier 1 and junior Tier 2 engineers. Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, rollouts, and technology refresh initiatives. Assist senior engineers with testing, validation, and implementation tasks. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation as required. Perform after-hours or weekend work for maintenance, upgrades, or incident response when needed. What You Have Done: 5-7 years of progressive IT support experience, including advanced Tier 2 responsibilities. Strong experience with: Windows operating systems and endpoint support, Active Directory, user/group management, Group Policy, Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration and support, PC hardware installation, troubleshooting, and deployment. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, basic switching/routing). Excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills. Experience supporting or assisting with server environments (Windows and/or Linux). Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Familiarity with patch management, backup processes, or disaster recovery concepts. Relevant certifications such as: Microsoft Modern Workplace, Network+ or Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent vendor certifications. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
