Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack - Python & React | Backend - Python)



A successful teammate in either role will bring solid software engineering fundamentals, with experience building robust, scalable systems. While healthcare data or AI experience is a bonus, strong problem-solving and collaboration skills are key. Join our team to design, build, and maintain high-impact applications powering complex user experiences.


Responsibilities (Both Roles)
Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, clinical teams, and engineers to refine specs and navigate ambiguity.
Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
Stay current with emerging technologies and foster continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot issues for optimal performance, security, and user experience.


• Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack) - Python & React:



Focus: Build robust frontend experiences connected to Python backends for complex web apps.


Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain frontend components using React, integrating with Python/Django backends.
Implement frontend monitoring, performance tools, and data integration from backend services/databases.
Write testable, efficient code with best practices; build/maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications

5+ years as a software engineer, with significant full-stack experience.
Extensive React (ES6+), HTML/CSS/JS; proficiency in Python/Django.
Git, automated testing (e.g., Jest, Testing Library, Playwright), TDD.
CI/CD pipelines; AWS (EC2, RDS, S3); Docker/Kubernetes.
Relational/NoSQL databases; web security (XSS, CSRF).
Prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Zeplin).
Healthcare/PHI experience a plus.
Success Criteria

Autonomously design/build scalable frontend systems.
Improve codebases and deliver excellent user experiences cross-team.


• Staff Software Engineer (Backend) - Python:



Focus: Power scalable backends with Python/Django for data-intensive applications.


Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Python/Django backends, APIs, and services.
Integrate with databases/services; optimize for performance/scalability.
Build/maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure robust, secure backend architecture.
Minimum Qualifications

5+ years as a software engineer, with strong backend focus.
Proficiency in Python/Django (or similar); API design and optimization.
Git, automated testing, TDD.
CI/CD pipelines; AWS (EC2, RDS, S3); Docker/Kubernetes.
Relational/NoSQL databases; web security best practices.
Healthcare/PHI experience a plus.
Success Criteria

Autonomously design/build scalable backend systems.
