Our work is reshaping how businesses move from seeing to deciding by rethinking image capture and analysis from the ground up. We recently launched our proprietary computational imaging technology in our first high-impact e-commerce product, and the results have been immediate and encouraging. As demand grows, we’re expanding our mobile engineering team to help scale the platform and deliver even more value to our customers. Role Overview We’re looking for a seasoned Mobile Software Engineer (iOS & Android) to take ownership of mobile application and SDK development across both platforms. This role spans the full lifecycle of mobile engineering — from architecture and feature development, to quality and performance, to supporting enterprise customers integrating our SDKs into their own apps. We’re a small, focused team that values accountability and impact. You’ll be hands-on, close to the product, and empowered to drive outcomes. Although we’re early in our journey, we already have a proven product and clear product-market fit, making this a rare opportunity to help shape a company on the cusp of disrupting large, high-value e-commerce markets. What You’ll Do Turn Product Vision into Execution Break down product and business goals into concrete mobile engineering plans. Weigh technical trade-offs across iOS and Android to make smart decisions around performance, scalability, and delivery speed. Build and Evolve Mobile Apps & SDKs Design, develop, and maintain native mobile applications and SDKs for iOS and Android. Produce clean, well-tested, well-documented code that meets high engineering standards. Participate actively in design reviews and code discussions with the team. Drive Quality, Performance, and Reliability Build features with reliability, testability, and performance as first-class concerns. Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests where appropriate. Continuously improve stability, responsiveness, and user experience across devices. Support Customer Integrations Partner directly with B2B customers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth SDK integrations. Troubleshoot real-world integration challenges, performance issues, and edge cases in production environments. Contribute to Data & Insights Work with the team to ensure mobile apps and SDKs generate accurate, actionable data. Help enable analytics and reporting that inform product direction and customer outcomes. What We’re Looking For A strong sense of ownership and a commitment to building high-quality software. 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience, with deep exposure to production mobile systems. Extensive experience building native iOS apps (Swift) and Android apps (Kotlin/Java); cross-platform experience is a plus. Solid understanding of mobile system architecture, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns. Experience integrating mobile clients with APIs, backend services, and cloud infrastructure. Background in developing and shipping mobile SDKs or APIs used by external or enterprise customers. Strong grasp of mobile performance tuning, memory management, and device constraints. Familiarity with modern data storage solutions across mobile and backend systems. Experience defining and following a robust SDLC, including CI/CD, testing strategies, versioning, and release workflows. Clear and thoughtful communicator who collaborates well and supports teammates. Comfortable operating in fast-moving, agile environments and eager to learn new tools and technologies. Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setup. What We Offer The chance to work on advanced computational imaging technology that pushes the boundaries of visual AI on mobile devices. A meaningful role at an early-stage company where your contributions directly shape the product, team, and customer experience. A collaborative, tight-knit engineering culture that values curiosity and innovation. Flexible work arrangements, with a preference for candidates who can collaborate in person with our engineering team at our Santa Cruz lab, balanced with flexible hours and remote work options.
