Try Premium for PKR0 About the job ABOUT BOND: Bond is a fast-growing startup on a mission to break down communication barriers between Deaf and hearing individuals by making personalized, high-quality sign language interpretation effortlessly accessible to everyone, anywhere. Our rapid growth has allowed us to raise an additional recent round of funding, which now supports our plans to quickly expand our product offering. Our first product, BondVRS, reimagines Video Relay Service (VRS), a critical service for the Deaf community. With a single click, Deaf users can instantly invite highly-skilled interpreters to any video platform — our proprietary Zoom-like platform or any mainstream platform (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Webex, FaceTime, and WhatsApp). As a user-focused team passionate about technology, accessibility, inclusion and bridging communication gaps, we’re looking for like-minded people. If you thrive in innovative, fast-paced environments, are curious to deeply understand the diverse needs of our rapidly growing userbase, and have the mindset to reimagine an industry, you’ll fit right in at Bond. ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking a Staff Full-Stack Engineer to build the interfaces that make real-time video communication intuitive and accessible—working closely with product and design to translate user needs into a polished, reliable UX. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a genuine commitment to accessibility and user experience. Someone who can balance shipping velocity with inclusive-minded and accessibility-first thinking will be uniquely positioned to thrive in this role. What You'll Bring: Build Exceptional User Experiences: Own the user-facing features that make video interpretation seamless and delightful—from the moment a user initiates a call to how interpreters manage their workflow. You'll translate designs into polished, accessible interfaces that work flawlessly across web and mobile browsers. Bridge Frontend and Backend: Collaborate closely with platform engineers to integrate video capabilities, real-time communication features, and backend services into cohesive user experiences. You'll define clear API contracts, provide feedback on platform design, and ensure frontend needs shape backend architecture. Champion Accessibility and Inclusive Design: Ensure every interface element works for all users—including those with varying levels of technical fluency and diverse accessibility needs. You'll work hand-in-hand with design partners to make accessibility a core feature, not an afterthought. Provide Service and Operational Excellence: Take ownership of what you build in production. Monitor user-facing performance, respond to incidents, optimize load times and interactions, and ensure our platform delivers consistently excellent experiences. You understand that shipping is just the beginning. Contribute to a Purpose-Driven, User-Centered Culture: At Bond, we obsess over serving our customers - and exceeding their expectations. You will need to understand the real-world impact of your interface decisions, advocate for users in technical discussions, and ensure your work connects to our broader mission of improving access and communication for the Deaf community. Requirements: Proven Engineering Skills: 10+ years of hands-on experience writing code, shipping features, and supporting production environments. You've learned from real-world systems at scale and know how to balance moving quickly with building for the long term. Full Stack Expertise: Strong proficiency in modern web technologies across the stack. Experience with real-time communication systems (WebRTC, WebSockets, streaming) is highly valued. You're comfortable working in React, Node.js, or similar ecosystems—and you know when to reach for the right tool. Detail-oriented and Data-Driven: You instrument your code, monitor what matters, and make decisions based on evidence. You know how to debug production issues systematically and can distinguish signal from noise when systems are under stress. Demonstrated success in a fast-moving, startup environment: You excel in ever-evolving, ambiguous environments and aren't fazed when assumptions are disproven and plans change. You've shipped features with incomplete requirements and know how to balance perfect with good enough. Excellent Communication Skills: You can translate technical complexity into clear explanations, collaborate effectively with product and design partners, and write documentation that helps others succeed. You know how to push back constructively when engineering realities need to shape product decisions. Preferred Experience: Connection to the Deaf Community: Strong awareness of Deaf culture and accessibility needs is a major plus; personal or professional experience with the Deaf community is ideal. Cross-Platform Development: Experience with frameworks like React Native or Capacitor that bridge web and mobile, or a track record of delivering consistent user experiences across platforms. What We'll Bring: Competitive salary and equity Opportunity to make an immediate impact Remote-first team with colleagues across the world Medical, dental, and vision benefits Unlimited PTO, in addition to standard holidays 401(k) plan
