We’re working with a Series B health tech company building platforms that transform real-world clinical data into actionable medical evidence.


This is a true Staff-level role — high ownership, deep technical influence, and close collaboration with Product, Data Science, and Clinical teams.


What you’ll do:

Design and scale distributed backend systems for complex clinical data
Lead architectural decisions across services, data models, and APIs
Build and improve Python-based data pipelines and production services
Drive reliability, observability, and testing best practices
Mentor engineers and shape long-term technical strategy
Work hands-on with AWS, Postgres, CI/CD, cloud-first systems


What we’re looking for:

6+ years building production backend systems
Strong expertise in Python
Experience with Postgres, AWS, infrastructure & cloud tooling
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and collaborating cross-functionally
Startup or high-ownership engineering experience preferred


 Bonus (not required):
Healthcare, clinical, or regulated data experience (HIPAA, SOC2)
NLP, LLM pipelines, search systems, or complex data platforms
