The Role Your day to day is solving customer problems. You talk directly with customers, understand their business, and build the software they need. You own the full loop from conversation to production code. The difference is how you build. We use an internal AI orchestration platform that coordinates specialized agents across the development lifecycle. Planning, implementation, testing, deployment. You deliver for customers using this system, and you make the system better as you go. The whole team builds the orchestrator together. It's not one person's job. It's how we work. We move faster than customers can react. Work that traditionally takes 20 engineers and 6 months, we deliver with 2 engineers in 2. That's the pace you're operating at. What You'll Do We're a lean company. Staff Engineers here operate like founders. You talk directly with customers to understand their problems, then go build the solution. No handoffs. No product managers translating requirements. You own it end to end. You'll build greenfield products for customers across varied tech stacks and domains. You'll deploy AI agents into customer operations to eliminate manual bottlenecks and scale throughput. When you hit friction in the orchestration platform, you fix it. Every customer engagement makes the system sharper for the next one. What You Bring Founder mentality. You're comfortable in a customer call at 10am and deep in code at 2pm. You hear a problem and figure out what to build. You don't wait for someone to break down the work. Deep software engineering experience with production LLM systems. Not demos. Systems that run, fail, recover, and improve. Strong in TypeScript and Python. Comfortable picking up whatever a customer's stack demands. You think in workflows and failure modes, not API calls. You have opinions on how agents should collaborate, when they should defer to humans, and where the trust boundaries sit. You've shipped real software for real customers under real constraints. You can sit with a non-technical customer, understand their business, and translate that conversation into a system design. That skill matters as much as the engineering.
