About the job
Are you an experienced Software Engineer who actually prefers working remotely and independently? Do you enjoy building things from the ground up and having real ownership over technical decisions? If so, this could be the role you’ve been looking for.


We’re working with an early-stage startup that’s hiring their first full-time Software Engineer. Their platform was initially built by contractors, and your first mission will be to review the existing infrastructure, identify what’s working (and what isn’t), and help shape the future of the product as it scales.


Tech stack:

React, TypeScript, Node / Next.js, React Native, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, AWS


This role is ideal for someone who’s a builder and problem-solver — comfortable working without lots of process, documentation, or hand-holding. As the first full-time engineer, you’ll have significant influence over architecture, tooling, and best practices. There’s also a very real opportunity to grow into a leadership role and build a team as the company grows.


What we’re looking for:

Experience working in startups or a strong desire to work in a startup environment
Comfortable taking ownership and making technical decisions
Able to work autonomously in a remote-first setup
Full-stack experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
