This organisation is rebuilding core financial infrastructure from the ground up. While most accounting and finance tooling remains stuck in legacy architecture, this team is delivering a data-first, AI-enabled platform designed to power real-time decision-making for high-growth companies. Backed by leading-tier investors and already adopted by some of the most innovative technology businesses in the market, the company has reached strong product-market fit and is now investing heavily in its engineering foundation. The Opportunity This is not a traditional infrastructure role. You will operate at the intersection of platform engineering, developer tooling, and product enablement building the internal systems, workflows, and deployment architecture that allow product teams to move faster, ship confidently, and scale sustainably. You will: Design and evolve internal tooling and deployment systems Define best practices for engineering workflows and shared infrastructure Improve CI/CD, observability, and developer self-service capabilities Partner closely with product engineering teams to stay grounded in real-world needs Contribute directly to feature work when necessary to maintain proximity to user impact Shape the long-term vision of the platform function alongside engineering leadership This role combines hands-on execution with architectural ownership. What We’re Looking For: 6+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong depth across systems design, tooling, and deployment workflows Experience improving developer experience (DX) in high-growth environments Pragmatic mindset — able to simplify rather than over-engineer Product-oriented thinking (understands business impact, not just technical purity) Computer Science or equivalent technical background This would suit someone who enjoys building leverage the kind of engineer who prefers enabling 20 developers to move faster rather than shipping isolated features alone. Environment & Culture The team operates with high autonomy and high accountability. Engineers are expected to think beyond code — understanding user problems, domain complexity, and business outcomes. There is strong emphasis on ownership, craftsmanship, and momentum. This is a performance-driven but collaborative environment where impact matters more than process theatre.
