At Fidelis we are seeking a skilled and versatile C# / Go Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role focuses on building and optimizing backend systems with a strong emphasis on high availability, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in C# or Go development, proficiency in OpenSearch, and a deep understanding of SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, particularly in high-availability and scalability contexts.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using C# (.NET) or Java or Go
Search Infrastructure: Integrate and optimize OpenSearch for efficient and scalable search functionalities
Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize application and database performance to ensure low latency and high throughput
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable systems

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field / experience
5+ years of professional experience in C# or Java or Go development
Strong experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL
Hands-on experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization techniques for both applications and databases
Experience with containerization (Docker or Podman)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
