Software Engineer (Full Stack – AI/LLM & Cloud-Native Focus)

Initial 1 year contract assignment

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong full-stack development experience and hands-on expertise in AI-driven systems, ontology frameworks, agentic workflows, and scalable cloud-native architectures.

The hiring manager will heavily evaluate candidates based on their responses to the screening questionnaire, particularly around ontology design, LLM integration, agentic workflows, large-scale data processing optimization, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on professional experience.



Core Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend and frontend applications using Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Build and deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, or similar technologies in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, OpenShift).
Architect and implement ontology-based data models and governance frameworks.
Design and deploy agentic workflows and AI-driven orchestration systems in production environments.
Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into applications using prompt engineering and/or fine-tuning strategies.
Optimize long-running, high-volume processing jobs (e.g., batch processing of hundreds of thousands of files).
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines including automated builds, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Collaborate within Agile teams using JIRA, Confluence, and modern DevOps practices.
Required Technical Experience

AI / LLM / Advanced Systems (High Priority – Manager Focus)

Hands-on experience with ontology frameworks (e.g., knowledge graphs, semantic models, schema governance).
Practical experience designing or implementing agentic workflows and autonomous orchestration frameworks.
Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), including:
Prompt engineering strategies
Fine-tuning considerations
Production integration patterns
Experience designing and optimizing large-scale processing systems (batch processing, parallelization, distributed workloads).
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and major stages (build, test, artifact management, deployment, monitoring).
Backend & Cloud-Native Development

Development experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python (any one required).
Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Containerd).
Deployment experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, or OpenShift.
Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines and using DevOps tools.
Frontend Development

Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
Experience with at least one modern frontend framework:
React (Redux)
Angular (NgRx)
Vue.js (Vuex)
.NET/C# (if applicable to frontend architecture)
Optimization & Systems Engineering Expectations

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to:

Architect scalable processing solutions (parallelization, batching, distributed systems).
Improve performance of long-running jobs.
Design resilient, fault-tolerant cloud-based applications.
Apply best practices in testing, deployment automation, and environment configuration.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
