Today these companies run on broken workflows, paper invoices, aging desktop software, and dozens of disconnected tools. We’re replacing all of that with a modern, AI-native platform that handles scheduling, routing, proposals, invoicing, technician workflows, and customer communication in one unified system. We are early, fast-moving, and shipping product with real customers every week. Role Overview We’re looking for an in-semester software engineering intern who wants to build and ship real AI-powered features — not side projects or internal tools. You’ll work directly with the founders to design, develop, and deploy production features that use LLMs, embeddings, vector search, and voice interfaces to automate workflows for technicians and back-office teams. If you want a real startup experience — autonomy, rapid iteration, and ownership — this is it. What You’ll Work On • Build AI-native features such as: • natural-language task creation & scheduling • voice-driven technician workflows • automated proposal generation • AI-powered routing and dispatch logic • context-aware customer communication tools • Work across our stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase/Postgres, serverless functions, and vector/LLM pipelines • Ship production code weekly (with real customer usage and feedback) • Collaborate on product decisions, UI/UX, and feature architecture • Help define best practices for integrating AI safely and effectively into operational workflows What We’re Looking For • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript • Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), embeddings, or retrieval pipelines • Ability to build fast, iterate, and own features end-to-end • Curiosity, autonomy, and a bias toward shipping Nice to Have • Experience with Next.js, React, Supabase/Postgres, or Firebase • Interest in field-service operations, scheduling algorithms, or voice interfaces • Prior startup or project-based experience shipping real code Why CleanOps • Work directly with technical founders • Ship real AI features used by real companies • Fast learning curve, high autonomy • Opportunity to convert to full-time • Build foundational features of a company that will scale to thousands of businesses
