My client, a well-funded infrastructure startup is building high-performance processing technology focused on advanced querying and indexing capabilities within modern systems.



They're hiring a Software Engineer to work on performance critical components of the core engine. This is a deeply technical role focused on low-level systems development.



About the role

Improving and extending data processing, indexing, or query execution
Designing efficient algorithms and data structures for high-throughput systems
Profiling and optimizing performance across memory, and I/O boundaries
Writing clear technical documentation for developers and users
Collaborating with technical users and participating in open engineering discussions
Supporting technical enablement efforts such as demos and educational materials


Requirements

Strong background in database systems
Programming experience in Rust or C++
Experience working on data systems
Familiarity with relational databases
