Overview

We are hiring a hands-on Software Engineer Lead to own core parts of our product and data infrastructure while managing a small engineering pod. This role combines individual contribution with light people leadership and close partnership with analytics, product, and content teams.



Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture and development of scalable, cloud-based systems and APIs supporting internal and external products.
Build and maintain data infrastructure and cloud databases aggregating information from multiple third-party and internal sources.
Develop web-based functionality that supports user workflows around campaigns, partners, and revenue.
Create internal tools and applications that streamline content distribution, operations, and reporting.
Evaluate and prototype new product experiences and engagement surfaces, including subscription or membership-style offerings.
Oversee core server environments and ensure reliability, performance, and security across services.
Manage 1 software engineer, including sprint planning, code reviews, and day-to-day technical guidance.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Analytics to translate business and measurement needs into scalable technical solutions.


Required Experience

2–4 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally across both backend and frontend.
Proficiency with at least one modern backend stack (e.g., Python/Node) and a modern frontend framework (e.g., React).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), databases, and integrating third-party APIs.
Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with end-to-end ownership from design to deployment.
Strong communication skills and interest in mentoring a more junior engineer.


Role: Software Engineer Lead (2–4 YOE)

Location: Remote (U.S. preferred)

Reports to: Head of Analytics and Insights

Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 base salary + equity grants based on experience
