Try Premium for PKR0 Meet the hiring team Cason Brown 3rd Founder & CEO of EdgeBoard LLC Job poster Message About the job About EdgeBoard: EdgeBoard is an early-stage sports-tech startup building the first platform that unifies fantasy sports with sportsbook prop insights. Our app connects to ESPN, Yahoo, and Sleeper to sync a user’s fantasy leagues, compute win-probability shifts based on prop outcomes, and reveal strategic Double Down and Hedge opportunities. We are launching our NBA-only Version 1 and looking for a highly capable engineer to help build the product from the ground up. About the Role: We’re hiring a Full-Stack Mobile Software Engineer to build and launch the entire EdgeBoard V1 mobile application. This includes frontend mobile development, backend services, API integrations, and a probability-driven simulation engine. You will work directly with the founder, take ownership of the technical direction, and ship a functional, polished MVP for real user testing. This role is fully remote but restricted to candidates located in the United States. What You'll Do Architect, build, and deploy the complete EdgeBoard V1 mobile app. Integrate with third-party fantasy platforms (ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper) using OAuth and REST APIs. Build a backend service for data syncing, projections, user accounts, and simulation logic. Implement a win-probability engine that recalculates matchup outcomes based on prop-driven scenarios. Develop clean, responsive UI components for fantasy dashboards, prop analysis, and scenario modeling. Prepare the app for beta release on TestFlight / Google Play. Iterate based on early user feedback and make enhancements during and after the beta cycle. Deliver concise and clear technical documentation outlining the system architecture, data flows, and logic. Remain available for potential long-term collaboration, including multi-sport expansion and equity opportunities. Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience in mobile development with React Native or Flutter. Strong experience in backend development (Node.js or Python). Proven ability to build apps end-to-end (frontend, backend, infrastructure). Expertise in third-party API integration, OAuth workflows, and JSON data handling. Experience designing and deploying REST APIs. Comfortable working with databases (PostgreSQL, Firebase, Supabase, or similar). Familiarity with probability modeling or simulation logic (e.g., Monte Carlo, scenario-based calculations). Experience publishing apps to TestFlight or the Play Store. Strong communication and ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment. Nice-to-Have Experience building fantasy sports, sportsbook, or sports-analytics applications. Exposure to projection engines, stat modeling, or real-time data systems. Understanding of NBA stat categories and fantasy scoring formats. Prior startup or early-stage product experience. Compensation $5,000/month for the 2-month contract (total $10K). Opportunity to transition into an ongoing role. Eligibility for equity following successful delivery of V1 and continued collaboration. Who You Are You’re a builder — someone comfortable taking ownership of the technical direction and shipping a complete product. You’re energized by early-stage environments, love solving complex data and API challenges, and are excited about joining a company at the beginning of its journey. If you love sports, fantasy, betting analytics, or building high-impact consumer apps, this is a rare opportunity to own something meaningful from the start.
