Try Premium for PKR0 About the job Foxley Talent are working with a new client, a recently funded, founder led tech startup building modern infrastructure software for complex, real world problems. Following an initial funding round, the business is expanding its engineering team and is hiring a django focussed Software Developer to join at a pivotal stage of growth. This role will be one of the early engineering hires outside of the founding team and offers the opportunity to have a meaningful influence over both the product and the technical direction of the platform. The successful Django Developer will work on backend systems that support time sensitive operational workflows across multiple transport and logistics use cases. This is a hands on role for an engineer who enjoys ownership, problem solving, and building systems that operate in live production environments. This position is fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere in the United States. This is a scrappy, early stage startup so be prepared to roll your sleeves up and work hard! The Role Design, build, and maintain backend systems using Python and Django Own features from initial design through to production deployment Work closely with founders and early customers to solve real operational problems Build systems that handle scheduling, coordination, tracking, and analytics Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision making Support deployments, monitoring, and live issue resolution Take part in a lightweight "on call rotation" as the platform scales Skills and Experience Strong experience building backend systems in Python Commercial experience with Django in production environments Experience working in early stage companies or on complex distributed systems Comfortable taking ownership of problems end to end Experience working with cloud infrastructure and modern CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with GraphQL, TypeScript, or React Legally authorised to work in the United States without sponsorship Available for core collaboration hours overlapping US Eastern Time Technology Environment Backend built with Python and Django, with a strong focus on testing and reliability GraphQL APIs supporting modern frontend applications Cloud infrastructure hosted on GCP with managed services and deployment tooling What’s on Offer Salary in the range of $125,000 to $145,000 Equity available, with flexibility around a salary/equity mix Fully paid health, vision, and dental insurance 401k with employer matching 20 days paid time off plus public holidays Fully remote role within the United States Why This Role This role will suit an engineer who enjoys building early stage products, working close to customers, and seeing their work in use quickly.
