About ~50% or more of the work is greenfield, and the rest is improving reliability, reducing operational friction, and maturing our platform/tooling. We don’t expect you to know everything — but you should be strong in at least two of these domains: Full-stack / Product with mobile experience (Flutter, Firebase/GCP) Remote sensing / geospatial applications Machine learning, especially computer vision (bonus points for experience deploying models to phones) This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, organized, grounded in SDE fundamentals, and motivated by both mission and craft. The role is fully remote with a preference for candidates located between UTC-2 timezone and UTC-8; BIG bonus for candidates based out of Brazil general and Goiania specifically.What You’ll Do Own major systems end-to-end — from design to deployment to iteration Build new features and tools that support field sampling, ops automation, and scale-up by leveraging AR/VR and LiDAR tooling Improve reliability, testing, observability, and overall engineering quality of existing systems Collaborate closely with scientists, ops, and product to ship practical, elegant solutions Help define engineering processes, standards, and culture as we grow What You BringMust-Haves Motivation to work in climate, agriculture, and applied science environments Senior-level engineering experience Strength in at least two of the three core domains Comfortable operating with high ownership and limited oversight Nice-to-Haves ML or remote sensing research experience Design or UX sensibilities Strong experience with Python even though you miss static typing Project management experience Eligible to work in the US or Brazil Experience in carbon, climate, or regulated sectors Portuguese language skills Sound exciting?
