Role Description 

This is a full-time, remote role for a Senior Software Engineer. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient software systems that power our core transcription engine. Day-to-day tasks include working on back-end development projects, contributing to software architecture design, and implementing highly concurrent programming approaches. As we scale our privacy-first API, you will play a critical role in optimizing real-time processing and cloud infrastructure, utilizing Python for our AI/Data pipelines and Go for high-performance microservices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers will also be a key part of this role.



Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Software Development, Back-End Web Development, and System Architecture.
Strong proficiency in Python (specifically FastAPI) for building robust API endpoints, handling asynchronous requests, and structuring data.
Experience with Go (Golang) for developing high-concurrency, performance-critical microservices and managing heavy I/O operations.
Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and secure (stateless) solutions.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Core Concepts: Asynchronous processing, real-time communication protocols (WebSockets, Webhooks), handling large media files, and designing privacy-first architectures.


Tech Stack & Tools Requirements

Cloud & Storage: Deep understanding of AWS (specifically S3 multipart uploads for large media files) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Containers & Orchestration: Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for microservices deployment and autoscaling.
Message Brokers: Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS for managing heavy asynchronous background jobs.
Databases & Caching: Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL for relational business data and Redis for rate-limiting and cache management.
Bonus points: Experience with audio/video processing pipelines, LLM/RAG integrations, and Python data manipulation libraries (such as Pandas or Polars) for structuring complex JSON outputs.
