We value integrity, a client-first approach, and the ability to set goals, commit, and deliver.  Position Overview: Onramp Bitcoin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our engineering team on a contract-to-hire basis. As an early member of the engineering team, you will be involved in building our client facing application and shaping the backend engine that powers it. An ideal candidate will be able to step in and influence how we build! What you’ll do Build across the stack using Typescript, Nextjs and have the ability to quickly learn new technologies as decisions are made Collaborate with other engineers to design highly-scalable services Refine/design roadmap items into actionable work Advocate for extensible and secure software patterns What you’ll need An appetite for building and shipping quickly in a startup environment Experience with languages such as Typescript and knowledgeable in at least one other programming language Proficiency and understanding of Cloud (Vercel / Google Cloud) Hands on experience with Postgresql and MongoDB Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills Strong understanding of security best practices, particularly in the context of cryptocurrency custody. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Ability to operate asynchronously with a fully remote team. Nice to have: Experience in DevOps, including CI/CD, container orchestration Proven track record of designing, building, and scaling API infrastructure, ideally in fintech, blockchain, or payments Experience in financial services or the Bitcoin space and knowledgeable about the Bitcoin protocol, cryptography, wallet solution architecture, and custody solution..  Contract-to-Hire Details: This is a contract position with the strong potential for conversion to a full-time Senior Software Engineer role based on performance and company needs.
