Senior Software Engineer (Java / C#) – Surgical Robotics

Fully Remote | Full-Time



We’re building a one-of-a-kind surgical robot that’s redefining precision in hard-tissue surgery — and we’re looking for a Software Engineer who wants to work at the intersection of robotics, healthcare, and real-world impact.
This is a rare opportunity to join an early, high-caliber team shaping the core software of a next-generation surgical platform that will be used by surgeons around the world.


What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical software for a robotic surgical system
Work primarily in Java and C# across real-time control, system logic, and application layers
Collaborate with robotics, systems, and clinical teams to translate surgical workflows into robust software solutions
Contribute to architecture decisions for a safety-critical medical device
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation aligned with regulated environments
Help scale a platform from early development through clinical and commercial deployment
What We’re Looking For

Strong professional experience in Java and C#
Background in medical devices, robotics, or other safety-critical systems
Experience with hard-tissue surgical robotics, orthopedic/spine systems, or robotic navigation is highly preferred
Solid understanding of software design principles, multithreading, and system performance
Comfortable working in a fully remote, highly collaborative environment
Self-directed, detail-oriented, and motivated by building technology that truly matters
Nice to Have

Experience with surgical navigation, imaging, or robotic guidance systems
Familiarity with regulated development (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA)
Exposure to real-time systems or hardware-software integration
