Senior Software Engineer

Location: NYC (Hybrid) or Remote (U.S. Only)



We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a hypergrowth MIT spinout redefining commerce infrastructure.



This company operates the largest data-driven, three-sided marketplace. In 2025, the company surpassed $100M+ in revenue, raised $140M+ Series B, reached a $1.5B valuation, and now drives $1B+ in annual platform sales — while maintaining profitability and 200% YoY growth.

This is a rare opportunity to join a lean, high-caliber engineering team building systems that operate at massive scale and directly impact revenue.



What You’ll Do:



As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work directly with the CEO and senior/staff-level engineers on true 0→1 product launches and core backend infrastructure.



Own projects end-to-end — from architecture through production deployment
Build and scale APIs using Node.js
Develop high-performance frontends with React and Redux
Design data pipelines and internal tooling
Deploy production systems using containers and modern cloud infrastructure
Ship products used by a real, revenue-generating customer base


Bonus Points:

Experience in fast-paced startups or product-driven environments
Worked on consumer-facing applications


Requirements:

5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js + React)
Experience building and shipping production systems at scale
Ability to operate autonomously in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field


Must be based in the U.S.
