You will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of systems that power our home screen and other core experiences!This role requires a deep expertise in building distributed systems, familiarity with cross-functional collaboration, and a strategic ability to align engineering initiatives with business objectives.As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be in the middle of it all. You’ll work across functional and organizational boundaries to ship new features, improve our system architecture, squash bugs, and hone your technical skills. The ideal candidate is both forward-thinking and hands-on, has a strong sense of ownership and delivery, and is a good mentor and co-worker.What you’ll do:Produce well-designed, scalable, and reusable code on scheduleDeliver highly available and scalable services in a production environmentDefine technical architecture for the productDevelop and improve systems that impact multiple teamsTrack project performance against defined milestones/goalsMentor other engineers and support the technical cultureCreate and improve technical documentationWhat you’ll need:Bachelor’s degree (ideally in a technical field), but we understand great engineers come from a variety of backgrounds; we will also consider relevant work experience5+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stackOur core stack is Kotlin / Spring / PostgreSQL, and we run on Kubernetes in a service oriented architecture with over 100 services in productionYou should have 2+ years Java or Kotlin programming experience You should have a strong understanding of relational databasesYou should have worked on a SOA or microservice based applicationExperience working with asynchronous systems and event based systems (queues, streams)Pragmatic approach towards handling tech debt versus shipping new featuresNice to have:Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLM) into productsExperience scaling highly available, mission critical systemsFull-stack experience across backend and frontendHistory of building digital products in the financial spaceCompensation and BenefitsThe base pay range for this role is listed below.
