Senior Software Engineer – AI & Automation (Health Tech)

A growing healthcare platform is hiring a Senior Engineer to lead AI-driven automation, data infrastructure, and secure system design. This is a high-ownership, solo engineering role building scalable, intelligent systems that support clinical and operational teams.



Responsibilities

AI & Automation

Build agentic workflows to automate referrals, labs, scheduling, and documentation
Develop LLM-powered tools (pre-visit briefs, anomaly detection, natural language queries)
Use AI coding tools daily to accelerate development
Turn manual workflows into intelligent, exception-based systems
Data & Integrations

Own data ingestion, normalization, storage, and retrieval
Build integrations across EMRs, labs, wearables, and imaging systems
Maintain reliable, monitored data pipelines
Back-End & Security

Architect secure, scalable back-end services and APIs
Implement authentication, role-based access, audit logging
Ensure HIPAA-compliant systems
Front-End

Build internal dashboards and patient-facing features
Translate clinical needs into clear, usable interfaces
Collaboration

Partner with physicians, ops, and research teams
Align with external engineering teams where systems overlap
Ship quickly and iterate based on feedback
Required

5+ years software engineering experience
Daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, etc.)
Experience building LLM-powered or automated systems
Strong back-end, data modeling, and integration experience
Front-end experience (React, Next.js, or similar)
Strong security fundamentals
Comfortable operating autonomously
Stack

Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Tailwind/CSS, Streamlit, GCP

 Integrations: Snowflake, Elation, Junction
