Who we are

Homa AI is building an AI-powered platform that helps homebuyers navigate one of the most complex financial transactions of their lives. We combine property data, AI agents, and workflow automation to give users clarity and leverage throughout the home-buying process.



We’ve raised our seed round and are entering a phase where reliability and scale matter as much as speed. We are building foundational systems under real usage.



This role is fully remote. We collaborate primarily during Pacific Time business hours.



The role

We’re looking for a senior, execution-focused engineer who leans backend and AI systems but is comfortable across the stack.



This is a hands-on 0→1 execution role. You will own systems end-to-end, from product definition to production reliability. You’ll work directly with the founders and help shape core architecture as we scale.



You won’t be micromanaged. If something is unclear, you investigate and propose solutions.



What You’ll Do

Own backend and AI features end-to-end
Design APIs and system boundaries across services
Build and ship production LLM workflows (LangChain or similar)
Contribute to frontend when needed (Next.js / TypeScript)
Improve reliability, observability, and performance
Turn ambiguous product ideas into shipped systems


What We’re Looking For

5+ years building and shipping production systems
Strong backend fundamentals (APIs, data modeling, reliability)
Experience with LLM frameworks or AI orchestration
Comfortable working across the stack when needed
Proven ownership of real systems (not just components)
High agency — you spot problems and fix them
Excited about building real AI-powered products, not research prototypes
Bonus:

Experience with ranking/scoring systems


If you’ve built something from scratch — a startup, a side project with real users, an open-source contribution, or a product you shipped end-to-end, that matters to us.

The reality

We’re an early-stage company. There will be periods of intensity when shipping or scaling critical systems. This role is best suited for engineers who want ownership, autonomy, and direct impact on product direction.



Compensation

The base salary range for this role is:



$140,000 – $200,000 USD



Final offer depends on experience, impact potential, and location.

Equity is included and meaningful.
