Their platform enables providers and patients to communicate instantly across more than 300 languages, helping remove communication barriers when clarity matters most. As the company scales its engineering organization, they are evolving toward an AI-first development model where engineers spend less time manually writing code and more time defining problems, designing systems, and guiding AI-assisted development. Traditionally, engineers might spend most of their time coding. In this environment, that model has flipped. Engineers now spend the majority of their time collaborating with product and stakeholders, planning solutions, and designing architecture so that AI tools can rapidly generate and implement the code once the approach is clear. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, working with stakeholders, and leveraging modern AI tools as part of their daily development workflow. What You’ll Do Work with product leaders, architects, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable backend systems. Design and build services primarily written in Go that support real-time language interpretation infrastructure. Leverage AI tools as part of the engineering workflow to generate, iterate, and refine production code. Collaborate with engineers across teams to solve complex problems and ship solutions quickly. Contribute to system architecture decisions and help shape engineering practices as the platform evolves. What They’re Looking For Experience building backend services in Go Background working with distributed systems, APIs, or platform services. Comfort working with stakeholders to clarify requirements and define technical solutions. Interest in AI-assisted development workflows and modern engineering tooling. Ability to operate in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly. Full-Stack Engineering Mindset: While this role is primarily focused on backend systems in Go, the engineering team operates with a full-stack mindset. Engineers are comfortable moving across services, APIs, and frontend interfaces when needed to deliver complete solutions. Experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar technologies is helpful but not the primary focus of the role. Technical Environment Go (Golang) backend services Distributed systems and cloud infrastructure Modern CI/CD and development tooling AI-assisted development using tools such as Claude Why This Opportunity: You’ll join a small, collaborative engineering team building technology that directly impacts communication in healthcare and other critical environments. The organization is moving quickly and intentionally evolving how software is built, creating an opportunity for engineers who want to help shape both the platform and the future of development practices.
