We’re seeking a Senior Software Developer (Ruby on Rails) to support Yatri application development. You’ll collaborate with developers, cloud architects, and data engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure systems on AWS. In this role, you’ll mentor junior team members, participate in architecture discussions, and work closely with product managers to deliver high-quality features using Agile best practices.

Education:  BA/BS or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields 
Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience 
Clearance: Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance or higher
 
Responsibilities: 

·       Works within a team environment using tools such as Slack to manage, assign and collaborate on work tasks. 
•       Reviews code, provides technical guidance, and mentors junior team members. 
•       Works with a team of developers, cloud architects and data engineers to support Yatri application development using Ruby on Rails. 
•       Collaborates with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement new features. 
•       Participates in Agile project management methodologies to support all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). 
•       Reviews projects' ability to deliver robust and scalable solutions, learning and incorporating new technologies as appropriate. 
•       Builds and operates scalable and secure systems on AWS. 
•       Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews. 
•       Ensures application performance, scalability, and security best practices. 
•       Troubleshoots, debugs, and optimizes code. 

 Requirements

Experience in Ruby on Rails and web development frameworks.
Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
Experience with database design and management using SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, with solid understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience building and deploying applications on AWS.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems 
Strong understanding of application performance optimization, scalability, and security best practices.
Experience supporting or developing applications similar to Yatri,
Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Slack, Jira, or Confluence.
Understanding of debugging tools and techniques for efficient troubleshooting.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated
 Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods in front of a computer.
