Game Description We are making a co-op space themed rpg where systems and chaos collide to make endless player-driven immersive stories. Role Description This is a fully remote contracting role for a Senior Game Engineer based in the US or Canada. Our tech stack includes Unity engine and the Photon Quantum deterministic engine that interfaces with Unity. The role involves writing and maintaining extensible systems both within and outside of the simulation, profiling and optimizing hot code paths, and writing useful and extensible tooling for engineers, designers and artists. Salary and Benefits: Annualized $110-140k depending on level and impact potential. There are no immediate benefits as a contractor, but this role also comes with the potential to be brought on as a full-time employee. Full-time employment would come with the following benefits for US-based employees (we cover 100% medical insurance, 99% dental insurance, 99% eye insurance, and we do have a 401k plan). Role Requirements: 4+ years of Unity experience (at least 2 in a professional setting). 4+ years of game engineering experience. Excellent communicator. Expert at C#. Excellent systems design skills. Very strong work ethic. Very strong desire to learn and level up their skills. Extremely collaborative and not defensive about code. Passionate about game making and game design. Passionate about coding as a craft. Very familiar with different code design patterns. Prides themselves on being a great teammate / employee. Life long learner mentality.
