Senior Full-Stack Developer (Remote - US Only)

The Opportunity



We are seeking a seasoned Senior Applications Developer to lead the modernization, maintenance, and accessibility compliance of mission-critical web applications for a large-scale Government Delivery Center. This role is ideal for a developer who excels at working independently on complex technical constructs while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team to meet stringent state standards.


Key Responsibilities



Lead Development: Drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex web-based software applications.
Accessibility Champion: Use expert-level knowledge of HTML and CSS to ensure all systems meet high-level accessibility functionality and compliance standards.
Full-Stack Engineering: Program across the user interface, business layer, and database layer (SQL Server) to meet evolving user requirements.
Collaboration & Mentorship: Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and provide knowledge transfer/mentorship to junior IT staff.
System Integrity: Manage source code, work items, and documentation versioning within Azure DevOps.


Technical Requirements



To be considered, candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in each of the following:


Frameworks: ASP.NET, VB.NET
Web Technologies: JavaScript, XML, HTML, and Advanced Style Sheets (focused on accessibility)
Database & Reporting: SQL Server, SSRS, and Database Design
Tools: Visual Studio and Azure DevOps


The Ideal Candidate



Self-Directed: Comfortable taking a project from requirement analysis to deployment with minimal supervision.
Process-Oriented: Disciplined in following established coding standards and conducting rigorous unit/regression testing.
Communicator: Able to estimate development timelines accurately and report status transparently to Project Managers.
