About the job Your Role: As the Senior Data Engineering& Analytics Platform Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and dimensional data models that power SPFP’s analytics and reporting capabilities. This role is intentionally balanced between ETL / ELT development and data modeling. You will be expected to design reliable ingestion pipelines and transform raw data into structured datasets using dimensional modeling techniques (e.g., star schema). You will collaborate closely with business leaders, analysts, and third-party partners to translate reporting and analytics needs into maintainable, scalable data solutions, while also helping guide long term platform and cloud architecture decisions. Data Platform Implementation Build, deploy, and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines supporting analytics and reporting Participate in cloud architecture decisions related to scalability, cost optimization, and reliability Ensure platform reliability, performance, and data availability Continuously improve existing pipelines and workflows as the business scales. Drive best practices in coding, testing, and CI / CD. Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and system reliability Data Engineering & Transformation Develop, maintain and optimize data ingestion pipelines from ERPs, e-commerce marketplaces, and other operational systems Implement transformation and dimension modeling logic to deliver structured datasets Maintain clear documentation and transparency for data flows, transformations and dependencies Data Quality & Reliability Monitor pipelines and resolve failures or anomalies Develop data quality, reconciliation, and error-handling frameworks to ensure data integrity Systems & ERP Integration Implement and maintain data integrations Maintain integrations with e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, marketing tools, and logistics partners Business Partnering Work closely with functional leaders to understand data and reporting needs Help shape technical decisions and ensure alignment with business needs Essential Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining production ETL / ELT pipelines. Including proficiency with ETL / ELT tools (e.g., dbt) Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift) Experience with SQL and other programming languages (e.g., Python) Experience with dimensional and data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema) Experience consuming and integrating with RESTful APIs (e.g., Shopify, NetSuite, E-Commerce marketplaces) Experience working with data pipeline orchestration and scheduling frameworks (e.g., Airflow) Familiarity with ERP data (NetSuite preferred) and e-commerce / marketplace systems Strong communication skills Other Requirements Proactive, self-directed working style Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail
