Job poster Message About the job We are seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer / Architect to lead the design and optimization of scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions across cloud platforms. This role is open to candidates with expertise in either Azure or AWS, with a strong focus on integration with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. The position also supports broader analytics and AI initiatives, ensuring data is well-prepared and governed for advanced use cases. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality, reliability, and security. Architect dimensional data models and semantic layers to support enterprise analytics. Integrate datasets into Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Warehouses, DirectLake, Dataflows Gen2). Oversee CI/CD processes and infrastructure automation using Git-based workflows. Establish data governance, security, and compliance frameworks across platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to shape strategy and ensure business value delivery. Support AI-related initiatives by preparing, governing, and optimizing data for advanced analytics. Preferred Cloud Skills (Azure or AWS — one track is sufficient) Azure: Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake Gen2, Azure SQL, Purview, ARM/Bicep. AWS: Glue, Redshift, RDS, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, IAM/KMS, CloudFormation/CDK. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in cloud data engineering or related roles. Proven experience in data warehouse design, performance tuning, and semantic modeling. Advanced Power BI expertise (DAX, Power Query) with Microsoft Fabric integration. Familiarity with cloud security frameworks, access control, encryption, and monitoring. Optional: Python or PySpark for advanced transformations and orchestration. Experience guiding hybrid or migration projects (on-prem to cloud). Certifications in Azure, AWS, Fabric, or Power BI strongly preferred. Flexibility to learn and apply new BI, analytics, or data engineering tools as business needs evolve. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g., model data preparation, responsible AI, predictive analytics) and willingness to support related initiatives.
